Custom Branding

BrickFTP allows you to easily customize the web interface to reflect your organization’s brand, including replacing the BrickFTP logo with your company logo and choosing a color scheme that matches your company’s look and feel.

To get started with customizing your site, navigate to Settings, and select the Branding tab.

Here you can manage the following customization settings:

Interface Colors

In the Interface Colors section of this page, you can customize the color of the following interface elements.

Page Link and Button Color is the color to use for links and buttons.

Top Bar Link Color is the color to use for links in the top bar.

Top Bar Background Color is the color to use for the background of the top bar.

Top Bar Text Color is the color to use for text in the top bar.

To customize these interface element colors, you can either enter the exact color code you want to use (you may be able to get this from your design department), or you can select a color using the color picker by clicking the colored boxes.

The following settings allow you to further customize the content of the web interface.

Header Text allows you to specify a header message to display on every page.

Footer Text allows you to specify a footer message to display on every page.

You may use Markdown for formatting, but HTML tags are not allowed for security reasons.

Login Page Help Text

This setting allows you to add custom help text to the login page of your site.

Use this area to inform your users whom to contact if they can’t log in or if they need an account created.

You may use Markdown for formatting, but HTML tags are not allowed for security reasons.

For example, this:

will display the following on your login page:

Custom Logo and Icons

The following settings allow you to customize the logo that is displayed in different parts of the web interface.

Custom Logo allows you to customize the logo that is displayed on the login page. This logo will also be used as the default logo for all folders. We recommend an image at least 500px wide, so that it looks good on retina devices.

Custom Icons allow you to use your own logo for the icon that is displayed in the web interface. The 16x16 icon will be used as your favicon (the icon in the browser title bar and bookmarks).

Custom SMTP

E-Mails generated from the app are sent by [email protected] by default. Customers on an Enterprise plan can enable this setting to use a custom SMTP server for all outbound mail, allowing full control over the from address, and integrating any existing email security technologies you use on your server.
